## What Ocechain is

Ocechain ingests real-time global AIS vessel data and records compact position payloads on Bitcoin. The result is live ship tracking backed by immutable ship records — an evidence layer for marine insurance, logistics, compliance, operators, counsel, researchers, and journalists. For boat watching and vessel spotting enthusiasts, the same live map offers a permanent, verifiable view of fleet movements.

## What Ocechain is not

Ocechain is not a navigational aid and must not be used for collision avoidance or voyage planning.
